Rubberwood

Our rubberwood comes from Medan, North Sumatra, which is also known as Hevea Brasiliensis. Rubberwood plantation is well known for their economical value and is widely available.

Once the trees reach an approximate age of 5 – 6 years old, natural latex can be extracted from these trees. The collection of latex is ongoing until the trees reach approximately 20 – 25 years of age, when they are not economical anymore.

These trees are then harvested and utilized for woodworking industry, and new trees are planted to replace the old ones.
